"Layers" explores the complex levels we operate in our life. This belongs to the "Unbecoming" phase.

It is expressing the many roles we each play on a day-to-day basis yet beneath all these roles there is something much more to our humaneness.

I became more aware of this as I was reconnecting with my essence. I was questioning “Who are we beneath all these roles?” “Who are we at the deepest level of these layers?”

This artwork is painted on a deeply textured surface with alternate levels of metallics and obsidian to give the feeling of layers & depth.
