"Awakening" expresses the concept of openess and vulnerability. I was at a stage in my journey where I needed to learn how to open up and be non-judgmental about myself. This was a big part of my own "Becoming".

Dramatic reds, orange and yellows help me express release and transformation.

I created "Phoenix" during a significant transition in my life.

It was a time I felt totally empowered & liberated.

When you experience such powerful transitions in your life - what colors speak to you? How do you feel?

"Solstice" embodies the center of one's existence, the pulse of life, the Sun. It is part of the "Becoming" phase.  I painted "Solstice" towards the end of my personal transformation. The Sun has always been a central symbol for me.

"Inner Flame" is the sister artwork of "Soltice" & takes the concept of "belonging" one step further. This painting explores the concept of belonging to oneself. This peice is a part the "Becoming" phase. It is capturing ones energy in motion with oneself.

"Within" expresses the beauty of just "being"; being still and at peace. This artwork was inspired by "Arrival" (an earlier artwork) and since I had entered my "Becoming" phase, I wanted to capture the embodiment of being my whole self.

"Arrival" expresses finding ones own truth. This artwork belongs to the "Becoming" phase. It is the final painting of the "Unbecoming" Collection. It expresses the feeling of arrival after a long period of inner-searching and discovery. It is about finally reaching the  destination.
